PLEXR

Plexr Plus is a non-surgical treatment used to remove moles, skin tags, warts, flatten scars, tighten skin, lift the skin above the eyes (upper blepharoplasty), remove excess skin such as eye bags.

The Plexr Plus tip doesn’t directly touch the skin but instead releases a targeted high frequency electric current. The current causes small holes or micro injuries. This thermal disruption encourages tissue regeneration, stimulates fribroblast activity and causes tissue contraction (tightening).

What is Plexr Plus?

Plexr Plus (or plasma soft surgery) is a non-surgical treatment used to remove moles, warts and skin tags, flatten scars, tighten skin, lift the skin above the eyes (upper blepharoplasty), remove excess skin such as eye bags. Unlike surgical treatments for these problems, Plexr does not require general anaesthetic and recovery time is much shorter.

Plexr Plus treatment uses plasma – the fourth state of matter after solid, liquid and gas – and is performed using a wireless handheld medical device.

Patients are given a topical anaesthetic cream or a local anaesthetic injection to numb the area to be treated.

What are the side effects?

Plexr is non-invasive and does not require general anaesthetic or stitches, there are very few risks in comparison to surgical procedures.

Like any skin procedure risks of hyperpigmentation (darkened) or hypopigmentation (lightened) of the treated skin can occur.

A thin brown crust forms immediately over the treated area – this gently lifts away in 5-7days. Treatment in sensitive areas, particularly around the eyes, may cause some swelling for up to a week.
