Learn more about this Treatment

Iron is an essential element found in all cells in the human body and has several vital functions, the main one being to carry oxygen from the lungs to the tissues as a key component of the haemoglobin protein.

Iron deficiency is quite common and can manifest as fatigue, dizziness or lightheadedness and a pale appearance. In some cases it can even lead to anaemia ( a lack of red blood cells ). Children, pre-menopausal women and people with a poor diet are most susceptible.

A simple blood test can check if your iron levels are sufficient and whether or not you are anaemic. If an infusion is necessary it is quick and easy and very well tolerated. Oral iron supplements are often not absorbed particularly well and can lead to gastrointestinal symptoms such as constipation.

The most common causes are:

  1. Bleeding – menstrual and non-menstrual (most commonly from the gastrointestinal tract)
  2. Inadequate dietary intake.
  3. Malabsorption syndromes. Our primary source of iron is through diet. Foods rich in iron include red meat, poultry and eggs. Lentils, beans, tofu and leafy vegetables also contain iron but are required in very high doses to provide an adequate intake.

NAD+ INTRAVENOUS INFUSION & NAD+ INTRAMUSCULAR BOOSTER

Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide is an essential cofactor or “helper molecule” that is involved in many biological processes. As we age our NAD+ levels are progressively and significantly depleted. There is growing evidence that the depletion of NAD+ is at the core of the hallmarks of aging. Some pundits are referring to NAD+ as the “elixir of youth” but there is much more research to be done before these claims can be validated.

NAD+ helps turn nutrients into energy, repair our DNA and serves as a powerful internal anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory agent. As such, it has been implicated in protecting us from neurodegenerative disorders, increasing energy levels, improving cognitive function and memory, reducing anxiety and depression and even helping with heart and vascular health. It has also been shown to help exercise performance and improve the “time to fatigue” of muscles.

NAD+ is a natural compound found in all living cells and tissues so there are no contraindications to administration. Given intravenously it is absorbed completely and rapidly. Depending on your weight, level of depletion and tolerance to the IV infusion the initial treatment can take from as little as 45 minutes up to 3 hours. It can also be given regularly in a lower dose intramuscularly as a booster every few weeks. No blood tests are necessary prior to treatment.

Objective

Boost energy levels, mental alertness and processing. Aid with deep sleep. Reverse some of the effects of the aging process.
