UltraClear offers six treatment modalities in one device, allowing us to tailor every procedure to concerns such as skin rejuvenation, photodamage, pigmentation, fine lines, crepey skin, skin laxity, and scarring (including acne, surgical, burn, self‑harm, and hypertrophic scars). Its advanced technology delivers effective results with minimal downtime and, in some modes, without the need for topical anaesthetic. One of the key innovations is Coring Mode, specifically designed to address crepey, lax skin, supporting firmer, smoother contours in areas like cheeks, jawline, jowls, neck, and around the eyes.

Consultations

Before any UltraClear treatment, a comprehensive consultation is essential. During this visit, we will take a detailed history and assess your skin to confirm your suitability and identify the most appropriate treatment options for your goals. A personalised treatment schedule, including any follow-up appointments, is then organised. Potential risks, expected outcomes, and all pre and post treatment care will be discussed, so you understand how to prepare for your UltraClear treatment and what to expect during and after. An accurate quotation will also be provided based on your individualised treatment plan.

The Six Modalities of UltraClear Laser

The platform’s six distinct modalities enable us to precisely adjust treatment depth and intensity for each patient’s skin and indications.

The 3D MIRACL mode delivers comprehensive rejuvenation by treating the epidermis, dermis, and subdermal layers in a single session. It supports collagen formation and cellular turnover to improve tone, texture, and elasticity, making it ideal for patients seeking overall skin renewal with minimal downtime.

Clear mode provides gentle, superficial resurfacing to refine texture and brighten the complexion. It helps smooth mild roughness and early fine lines while supporting healthy cell turnover, usually with shorter recovery and good comfort.

Clear+ works at a slightly deeper level than Clear, precisely removing more damaged skin cells and stimulating tissue regeneration. It is well suited to improving fine lines, photodamage, and uneven texture, promoting smoother, healthier skin with relatively rapid recovery.

Ultra mode provides a medium‑depth fractional treatment that creates microscopic microchannels in the epidermis and upper dermis while delivering controlled thermal energy. These microchannels stimulate collagen remodelling and gradual skin renewal, helping to improve fine lines, moderate pigmentation, and textural irregularities with manageable downtime and good tolerability.

Coring Mode uses UltraClear’s laser‑coring technology to precisely remove tiny cores of skin within the treatment area. This controlled removal triggers robust collagen renewal and tissue tightening, making it particularly effective for crepey and lax skin on the cheeks, lower face, neck, and around the eyes, with progressive improvement in firmness, texture, and fine lines.

Cutting Mode is an advanced laser setting designed to function as a precise cutting tool within the UltraClear platform. It allows controlled laser incision and tissue division similar to a fine surgical instrument, but it is not yet in routine clinical use anywhere in the world and is included as a future‑focused capability rather than a treatment we currently provide.

Frequently Asked Questions

UltraClear™ is a next-generation cold fibre laser system with six treatment modalities that allow us to precisely target different layers of the skin. It can improve tone, texture, pigmentation, crepey skin, laxity, and various types of scarring by creating controlled zones of thermal or ablative effect, stimulating collagen production and skin renewal.

UltraClear laser treatments is not right for everyone.  People who may not be suitable include:

  • Those who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Anyone with an active skin infection, cold sore, open wound, or flare of a skin condition (such as severe eczema or very inflamed acne) in the treatment area.
  • People who form keloid scars or abnormal scaring.
  • Those who have taken oral isotretinoin (Roaccutane/Accutane) within the past 6 months.
  • Individuals with significant uncontrolled medical conditions (eg. poorly controlled diabetes or autoimmune disease flares) that may affect healing.
  • People taking certain medications or using topical products that increase light sensitivity and cannot be paused safely.
  • Anyone who cannot avoid tanning, sunburn, or fake tan before and after treatment, or who has had a very recent sunburn.

UltraClear can be used for general skin rejuvenation, photodamage, age spots and pigmentation, fine lines, crepey skin, skin laxity, and scarring from acne, surgery, burns, self-harm, and hypertrophic scars. Different modes like 3D MIRACL™, Clear, Clear+, Ultra, and Coring are selected and combined to match the individual requirements.

Yes. UltraClear can be used with carefully selected settings to rejuvenate the delicate eye area, including the upper and lower eyelids and under‑eye region. Coring treatments to the forehead can also be performed to tighten and support the skin in this area, helping achieve a subtle lifting effect of the brows.

Coring Mode is designed to precisely remove tiny cores of skin to trigger intensive collagen renewal and tissue tightening. It is particularly useful for high‑movement and structurally important areas such as the cheeks, jawline, neck, and around the eyes, where patients often notice improvements in firmness, texture, and fine lines.

Most patients describe UltraClear treatments as a sensation of heat with brief tingling or prickling. Because of the cold fibre laser technology, some lighter modes can be performed with little to no topical anaesthetic, while deeper or more intensive treatments (such as higher‑energy Ultra or Coring sessions) generally use topical numbing for comfort.

Downtime varies with the mode and intensity used. Lighter treatments (such as Clear or some Clear+ protocols) may involve only mild – moderate redness and roughness for a few days, while more intensive resurfacing or coring sessions can lead to swelling, redness, and visible skin shedding that typically settle over several days to about a week. Your expected recovery will be discussed in detail at consultation.

UltraClear is not limited to the face and can be used on many areas of the body including but not limited to the neck, décolletage, and hands to improve texture, crepey skin, laxity, and photodamage. Treatment plans for these areas are customised to minimise downtime while targeting concerns such as fine lines, sun damage, and uneven skin quality.

Results are cumulative and depend on the mode used, the concern being treated, and your skin health and lifestyle. Many patients notice improvement after a single treatment, with results that can last from several months to around a year or longer when supported by good skincare, sun protection, and any recommended maintenance sessions.
