What is UltraClear™ Laser?

UltraClear™ is a next‑generation cold fibre laser that is reshaping how we manage skin ageing, laxity, and scarring particularly in difficult areas such as the neck, jawline, and jowls.

As the first clinic in Queensland to introduce this technology, we’re able to offer a highly customisable approach using six distinct modalities in one platform. These modes allow us to precisely adjust treatment depth and intensity, targeting everything from early textural changes through to crepey skin, lower‑face and neck laxity, and complex scarring.

UltraClear’s cold fibre design means many treatments involve minimal downtime and, in some cases, little to no topical anaesthetic, while still delivering meaningful tightening and resurfacing.

FAQs About UltraClear™

UltraClear can be used for general skin rejuvenation, photodamage, age spots and pigmentation, fine lines, crepey skin, skin laxity, and scarring from acne, surgery, burns, self‑harm, and hypertrophic scars. Different modes—such as 3D MIRACL™, Clear, Clear+, Ultra, and Coring—are selected and combined to match the depth and severity of each concern, including specific protocols for neck and jawline laxity.

UltraClear can be used with carefully selected settings to rejuvenate the delicate eye area, including the upper and lower eyelids and under‑eye region. Coring treatments to the forehead can also be performed to tighten and support the skin in this area, which may help achieve a subtle lifting effect of the brows in suitable candidates.

Coring Mode is designed to precisely remove tiny cores of lax or crepey skin to trigger intensive collagen renewal and tissue tightening. It is particularly useful for high‑movement and structurally important areas such as the cheeks, jawline, jowls, neck, and around the eyes, where patients often notice improvements in firmness, texture, and fine lines over time.

Most patients describe UltraClear treatments as a sensation of heat with brief tingling or prickling. Because of the cold fibre laser technology, some lighter modes can be performed with little to no topical anaesthetic, while deeper or more intensive treatments (such as higher‑energy Ultra or Coring sessions for jawline and neck) generally use topical numbing for comfort.

Downtime varies with the mode and intensity used. Lighter treatments (such as Clear or some Clear+ protocols) may involve only mild redness and roughness for a few days, while more intensive resurfacing or coring sessions can lead to swelling, redness, and visible skin shedding that typically settle over several days to about a week. We will always discuss expected recovery so you can plan around work and social commitments.

UltraClear is not limited to the face and can be used on the neck, décolletage, and hands to improve texture, crepey skin, laxity, and photodamage. Treatment plans for these areas are customised to minimise downtime while targeting concerns such as fine lines, sun damage, and uneven skin quality.

Results are cumulative and depend on the mode used, the concern being treated, and your skin health and lifestyle. Many patients notice improvement after a single treatment, with results that can last from several months to around a year or longer when supported by good skincare, sun protection, and any recommended maintenance sessions.

At its core, UltraClear works by creating controlled zones of thermal or ablative effect in the skin, which stimulates collagen remodelling and cellular turnover. Lighter settings such as Clear and Clear+ focus on the superficial layers to refine texture, brighten the complexion, and soften early fine lines and photodamage—ideal for patients wanting a fresher look with minimal disruption. Deeper modalities like Ultra (UltraClear mode) and 3D MIRACL™ reach further into the dermis and subdermal layers to enhance firmness, elasticity, and overall skin quality, making them useful when there is more visible laxity or early jowling. Coring Mode is particularly important in this context: by removing tiny cores of lax tissue, it can help to tighten and support crepey skin along the jawline, jowls, cheeks, and neck over time, complementing facial contouring strategies without surgery.

One of the major advantages of UltraClear is its versatility across different anatomical areas. Around the eyes, carefully calibrated settings can treat the upper and lower eyelids and under‑eye region, helping to address crepiness and fine lines in tissue that has traditionally been difficult to treat non‑surgically. In the lower face, Ultra and Coring mode can be used along the jawline and prejowl area to improve skin quality and support the overlying soft tissues, which may soften the appearance of jowling in appropriate candidates. Beyond the face, UltraClear can be used on the neck, décolletage, and hands to improve texture, fine lines, sun damage, and skin quality, particularly valuable for patients who feel their neck and chest are ageing faster than their face.

As with any advanced laser, not everyone will be suitable for UltraClear. A full consultation is essential before treatment. During this visit we take a detailed history, assess your skin, and confirm whether UltraClear is appropriate for your concerns whether that is neck bands, jawline softening, peri‑ocular lines, or scarring. We then discuss the most suitable treatment options, outline potential risks and expected outcomes, and provide all pre‑ and post‑care instructions. A personalised treatment schedule, including follow‑up appointments if required, is planned, and we provide a clear quotation based on your individualised protocol.
