The Cosmelan Treatment


Part one of the treatment is performed in clinic.  The Cosmelan peel is applied and left to work for 8 - 12 hours.  During this time, you can resume leisurely activities around the home. The mask is then removed with warm water after the prescribed time. 

The second phase of the treatment commences the next day.  This consists of a 4 week home care regime with twice daily applications of a maintenance cream called Cosmelan 2, Hydra-Vital Factor K cream, Melan Recovery and SPF50 sunscreen.  


After 4 weeks, a reduced version of this regime then continues once daily for the next 5 months.

Is there Down Time?

Expect downtime to be  5 - 7 days following your treatment.  You will experience redness, swelling, high skin sensitivity, itching, superficial peeling.


During the first and second week of cosmetic treatment using the Cosmelan method, your skin will already show a substantial improvement.

Blemishes being treated will tend to diminish and simultaneously, your skin will start to show a brighter and rejuvenated look.

During the end of the second week, you will notice significant revival and beautification of the skin.  You will get stimulation of capillary circulation giving an effect of the new skin.  Your skin will appear Luminous, fresh, smooth and shiny.

In 99% of cases involving blemishes or abnormal hyperpigmentation of epidermal origin, the blemish elimination process achieved a 95% efficacy rate.
